Angel On My Shoulder
In Loving Memory of My Great-Grandfather Francis “Frank” Jeffrey
You were so special to me
Your cute little smile and wads of gum
The troubles I am going through, I wish you could see
You brightened my day you were so much fun
When you passed away I cried for days
It was so sad, I got so mad
I tried to calm down in so many ways
They tried to make me leave I felt so bad
I remember the skid sounds of your walker
I can’t forget the recliner you sat in
When I would visit you were such a talker
I blamed myself because of the bet I did win
I miss you so much day in and day out
I haven’t ever visited your grave
All I can do now is sit and pout
But if you’re my angel watching over me, I know I can feel brave
In Loving Memory of My Great-Grandfather Francis “Frank” Jeffrey
So sweet… my favorite part is the “if you’re my angel watching over me, I know I can feel brave”
Very nice poem. They do watch over us!
