Last weekend while I was working on my computer I ran into a problem, a lot of my homework in Structure & Function of the Human Body required symbols at the end of some of the cell structure and pH variants. Luckily I was able to figure out what to do and made the paper work. When I was talking to my friend about she said she struggled with it a lot to when she was in school and was often docked points for not using the correct characters. PC’s – Make sure your number lock is on. Press and hold the alt key and using the numeric pad type in the numerical sequence, then release and the character will appear.
 **If you do not have a numeric pad you will need to use the function (fn) plus the alt key and then the numbers on your keyboard (small numbers below the letters on your qwerty keyboard)

Mac – Use the option key in place of the alt key.

    I think they should make computers with a little symbol button with a list of these to choose from like they do with smartphones. Who is going to remember these without having to look them up? Hehe! Thanks for the list!!

    Don’t forget, folks, that these only work for Windows. Users of other operating systems have easier methods to achieve this.

    These are not “Alt” codes, they are ASCII (American Standard Codes for Information Interchange).
