I just finished reading the twilight saga: the official illustrated guide and LOVED it! This is the perfect collectors book! For those of us who are in love the series, it is a great reference book and catch up book. The book begins with a 63 page interview with Stephanie Meyer by Shannon Hale. Hale covers just about every question you can imagine during this long interview, I really liked it even though it seemed to drag on forever!
Following the interview was a section called vampires with everything you need to know about Vampires and how they relate to this book. Their features, abilities and limitations, history, law, myths and more. A lot of very detailed information helping the reader to understand a lot of uncovered information that is never really answered or clarified in the books. Meyer continues the book with a list of the covens, members and background information on the vampire world as it pertains to the twilight saga. Of course after all the vampire information Meyer does the same thing with the Quileute Packs and Tribes including a very detailed family tree, history, members, relations and status within the pack. Next up is a list of all the humans in the book, their history and the roles they play. The book wraps up with a timeline and a chapter by chapter guide of major events key plot points, the cars and vehicles in the saga with information, the music playlist and inspiration for placement, Fan art gallery including some awesome drawings, International cover art, outtakes not included in the books, and lastly Frequently asked questions. I had a blast reading this book and highly recommend it to everyone that enjoyed the books, and movies. There are a lot of illustrations, and quotes from the movie. A fun read for sure! Thanks Stephenie Meyer for another fantastic read!
maybe I just didn’t get this – I watched the first film and was very bored by it, terrible acting, which put be off reading any of the books
