This was a good book. Those of you that know me well understand what Parkinson’s means to me and my extreme fear of it as well! Although politically Michael J Fox and I are on complete opposite ends, I do agree with finding a cure! I do admit I have absolutely no knowledge of stem cell research so I really can not comment on that aspect of the book, other than the fact that he does make a good point that stem cell research IS about saving lives, his suggestion is using stem cells from umbilical cords from newborn babies, but like I said, I have not done research regarding stem cells and their practices so I am staying neutral with my opinion here, due to a lack of knowledge on the subject. I am going to be reading and researching into stem cell research and get a better understanding of the details, not other peoples opinions..but rather form my own. I will say Fox is filled with optimism and positive attitude. He has put a lot of time and effort into advocating Parkinson’s. He has started a foundation, spoke with Congress, etc. etc. etc. With all of his hard work, I pray they find a cure, and soon! It was a very long read and seemed to take forever to finish. I would recommend this book because I think he spreads a very positive message about life.
This seems like it would be a great read. He is such an inspiration
