As you all know this weekend was crazy busy for us. MeMe had her birthday sleepover Friday night. She was a little disappointed that out of the 6 invitations she handed out only 1 girl was able to make it. after they played a little we packed up and headed out to the bowling alley. MeMe started the evening off with a strike! Way to start
the night. They did one game with the bumpers and the second game..well….they ran up and asked the attendant to lower the bumpers, he tried to talk them out of it and they weren’t having it, they wanted to try. He said ok came and lowered them and wished the girls luck. After about 4 frames and scores of 11 and 22, they asked him to come back down because they changed their minds. He thought they were hilarious. Being the only ones there he cranked up the volume and the girls were dancing, singing and having a blast! They had so much fun. After we left I gave them the option to eat anywhere, and they chose Dairy Queen, I know right, it wouldn’t have been my option but they made a good point, food & ice cream, smart girls! When we got back home they played more and ended the night with a slumber party in the living room watching movies until they fell asleep. I stayed up for quite awhile working on stuff, I left the tv on and went to bed. I was upstairs, had just drifted off to sleep when all of a sudden the downstairs door unlocks and someone is either coming in my house or leaving, Sherman was up out of bed SO fast. Turns out MeMe’s friend is a sleep walker and was out of it, poor thing. All in all MeMe’s party was easy and for the most part uneventful. One down, one to go! Butch had his sleepover Saturday with friends arriving sometime after 2pm. Butch had an amazing turnout. 4 friends showed up. We picked up a cake, cupcakes, pizzas, pop, you know, the regular party essentials. Sherman and they boys played some wii, watched some movies, played some games and some football outside. Then they all came in and ate some pizza, and of course you have all seen the dink concoction fiasco and if not click HERE to view it. After food, Sherman and the boys all headed out to the park to play and burn off some major energy. When they got back they sat around watching movies, trying to calm down a bit. While they were all set up and watching movies upstairs, Sherman comes up with an idea to scare the boys. He decides to climb up on the roof and pound on the window scaring the boys half to death! Who got it on camera, oh yeah, this girl hahaha! It’s posted right below the drink mix video. After the typical chuckles, outburts and obnoxious noise I went up and layed the law down around 2am and heard nothing but silence for the rest of the night. Bruiser had fallen asleep in the living room so I slept on the couch. At 7am I went upstairs, woke Sherman up so he could started on his homework and his big ethics report on the mortgage crisis. I sprawled out on my bed, and was so happy to sleep, when my phone rang, caller id says, Sherman, seriously, what the hell, I just talked to you, with a sigh I answered the phone and was immediately jolted awake and my fat ass bolts out of bed and sprints down the stairs out to the garage to find the love of my life in the fetal position on the garage floor moaning and in extreme pain. The puppy had pittled and peed all over the garage, I’m sure he was scared out of his mind. While I called 911, I let him out to finish his morning business. Sherman told me he had got his flip flop caught up on something and lost his footing and fell. He heard something snap really loud in his back, got the wind knocked out of him and his arm and hands were tingly. While waiting for help to get there I ran upstairs and woke Veronica to watch the kids, called mom and told her to come NOW and moved the van out of the garage into the back yard so they could get to him easier. They came, hooked up an IV, loaded him up and I followed behind to the hospital. They thought he broke his back & neck. After xrays and a ct scan they said nothing was broken. They doped him up, wrote some prescriptions and released us. My honey was on some serious pain killers and he was still in pain. I called and had the parents come pick up the kids early so Sherman could rest. Some of the boys were bummed out but oh well. One of Butch’s
