Good Morning! As Bruiser would say “I’m Back” haha! I didn’t really post this weekend because we didn’t really do anything. Majority of the weekend was spent laying around watching movies, reading and intervening in the kids arguments, screaming matches and melt downs, luckily we only had one battle wound this weekend, and I still have no idea how it happened. Everyone was either in the kitchen doing dishes or in the living room changing diapers and getting ready for the evening movie. All of a sudden Bruiser started crying from upstairs in the boys room, which is very typical for him, it’s his way of getting the kids to come play with him or he is upset about the world (toys, blankies, dogs, cartoons etc. etc.) not going his way and doing what he wants. Butch ran up to check on him quick and started freaking out that Bruiser was bleeding. Oh God, what did that little stinker do now?!!! The bleeding was not what I though it was, so I was very relieved. I have no idea what actually happened or how it happened but Bruiser scraped his arm. So that was the only battle wound of the weekend. MeMe is still trying to get rid of that darn cold and runny nose. Sherman said he wasn’t feeling to well and I am hoping he doesn’t catch it! I love my husband very much, when he is sick he toughs everything out and “mans” up when it comes to work and chores around the house, but he whines and moans the whole time. I could deal with it, IF he tolerated all of our illness’s better. When everyone else gets sick he gets mad, seriously mad. I got the flu this fall and it wiped me out. I was NO help to anyone for 3 days. He got mad and frustrated with me. Like it was MY fault I was sick. Like I went out and searched for a way to torture myself with head/stomach/cough/fever etc.! UGH! *sorry, rambling* so anyways, I really hope he is not getting sick.
Today the kids are home from school for President’s day, tomorrow as well, teacher workshop or in-service one of the two. I had scheduled MeMe’s follow up appointment with the specialist in Fargo months ago so that she wouldn’t have to miss any school to make the appointment only to wake up to the town covered in snow with more on the way. I am hoping this subsides and waits until to we get back into town to start again. It is only a re-check so we should be done rather quickly since it has cleared up nicely. I am just very thankful it wasn’t crohn’s or celiac! Major relief! After MeMe’s appointment we are taking Brody over to NDSU to take part in a study a student is doing for her Master’s Degree. She just wants to observe how babies learn and react to play situations. So basically she is going to watch Brody play. Then it’s off to IHOP. We let MeMe pick where we were going to eat and she decided she wanted pancakes and lots of them. Well there’s no better place for that than IHOP! hahaha! I will update more on that tomorrow. Hopefully everything goes as planned! I took a few pictures of the kids playing this morning. Brody is waking up and needs to nurse so enjoy the pictures and until next time….
