Family Fun- Living Room Fort & Summer Bucket List

Family Fun- Living Room Fort & Summer Bucket List
This summer I started a Family Summer Bucket List, a list filled with fun activities and projects our family could do over the summer to keep busy. I kept mine short knowing I could add to the list as we go. I had so much fun compiling the list I added a linky so others could link up their awesome lists too and we could all have a blast reading and working on our summer bucket lists.

I decided I would document our way through the list taking pictures and sharing our fun with others.
The other day we were very excited to scratch off one of our tasks:

I came back from the store to find my boys working on a fort in the living room. The boys were trying their best but with my 30 years of building experience I was more than willing to show off my skills!

Though it may not be Fort Knox, it was the Taj Mahal in their eyes and they loved it!
One thing I found works best for strength and stability in making the walls, Crib Sheets! Stretch crib sheets across the backs of two chairs. Then spread the sheets over the top creating an amazing fort.

You could also use this style when playing pioneer days or teaching pioneer lessons for school being the crib sheets make a rounded type top similar to the tops of the wagons.

Enjoy the pictures and make a little fort of your own with the kids!
What type of projects and fun activities would you add to your Summer Bucket List?
Please share with others via social media ~ Thank You

Comments

  1. We make a big fort and watch movies and eat popcorn and the little one gets to sleep in it every year on Christmas Eve. We used to sleep in it too, but now our backs are too old for that!

  2. My son and nephews do this at Grandmas and she serves them lunch inside!

  3. I remember making living room forts…so much fun!!
