This week our lake is finally beginning to thaw!
No, this is not normal, typically the area lakes begin melting in late March and by May the water begins warming up, things are a little slow this year!

The water in our local river is very high and very fast right now, after the spring thaw.
but my spring flowers are up, some are blooming and I see buds on my lilac trees! Can’t wait for that sweet fragrance.

Wow, still looks so wintery there. And I thought we waiting a long time until spring. Hope it continues to thaw.
Oh wow, and I thought spring was late here in the Maritimes! Our weather has warmed up quite a bit in the last 2 weeks and we were finally able to get out this week and do some gardening.

We are already having wild fires in our state which is well below seasonal rainfall. Maybe when your lake melts it will release some moisture in the air which will blow this way in the dry winds we are having and precipitate upon us!
